SAIL TO KOMIŽA ON 18 JULY 2017 FOR THE CZECH-CROATIAN FESTIVITY OF ST. JOHN OF NEPOMUK, PATRON SAINT OF SAILORS AND ALL WATER ENTHUSIASTS.
FESTIVITY OF ST. JOHN OF NEPOMUK IN KOMIŽA ON VIS ISLAND 
FESTIVITY OF BLESSING OF THE STATUE OF ST. JOHN OF NEPOMUK CONCLUDED WITH FIREWORKS, PORT FEAST, AND MUSIC
Arrive on your boat to celebrate the friendship of Czechs and Croatians.
The statue of St. John of Nepomuk is a gift of the city of Prague to the city of Komiža. The statue will be blessed personally by Cardinal Dominik Duka, who will arrive on a boat with the Bishop of Hvar, Slobodan Sťambuk.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Komiža for some wonderful sailing, wine, sardines, and Brut.
The festivities will begin at 8pm with Holy Mass at the Church of the Virgin Mary, the so-called “PIRATE CHURCH”, located on the beach.
At 9pm, a nautical procession will exit the church.
At 9:15pm, Cardinal Dominik Duka will personally bless the statue of St. John of Nepomuk created by the Czech sculptor Petr Váňa.
The festivities will culminate at 10pm with a concert and fireworks.
Sail to Komiža and discover the interesting history and the beauty of the island and its surroundings.
